Founded in 2021 by the Kuolemanlaakso – the top ten charting Finnish death doom outfit – mastermind, guitarist Markus “Daddy Ghoul” Laakso, The Ghoulstars consists of seasoned musicians with a solid fanbase and coffin full of critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums under their belts.

The band’s highly anticipated debut The Dark Overlords of the Universe is a bullseye mixture of The Misfits, White Zombie, Entombed and the fifties shades of Volbeat, but with a unique, catchy, and disturbingly entertaining twist. Surf beats, western themes, eerie movie samples… Nothing is too sacred for these pop culture nerds and musically well-versed ghouls!
