The Night Flight Orchestra (SWE)
The Night Flight Orchestra is a hard rock band from Helsingborg, Sweden. Björn Strid and David Andersson from Soilwork formed the band in 2007 and were later joined by bass player Sharlee D’Angelo (Arch Enemy, Spiritual Beggars), keyboard player Richard Larsson (Von Benzo), drummer Jonas Kållsbäck (Mean Streak) and percussionist Sebastin Forslund (Kadwatha).
The first release “Internal Affairs” saw sunlight in 2012 and kicked off the band’s live debut on 1st of August 2013 in Sweden. With “Skyline Whispers” in 2015, the band was joined by Sebastian Forslund on congas, percussion and guitar. In 2017, the band did their first European tour as a headline and were nominated for a Swedish Grammy Award in the Best Rock/Metal category with their 2017 album “Amber Galactic”. The latest album “Sometimes The World Ain’t Enough” was released in 2018 and the band toured Europe in November and December 2018.
The main framework for The Night Flight Orchestra is that of the pop/rock scene of the 80s. The band was formed from the need to play classic rock with catchy choruses and impressive solos and the band has done just that, the groovy rock albums bringin the 80s back to life!
